Our NLW Heights Branch is Relocating
We are excited to announce the NLW Heighs branch will
relocate its operations near the end of this year. InvesTex will
be building a beautiful new branch office using "Green"
technology, deep in the heart of the Height's community.
InvesTex Credit Union purchased property located on Durham
Street between 16th and 17th street, only a few blocks south
of the current NLW Heights branch (less than 1 mile). The
new address: 1614 North Durham Dr. - Houston, TX 77008.
Our NLW Heights branch manager, Laura Watts-Guzman, comments "I am extremely excited
and proud that the company I work for will be bringing superior financial services to the community
I grew up in." Laura is a 3rd generation resident of the Heights.
The Heights became the first master-planned community in Houston and was a marvel of its
time. In May 1891, the father of the Heights, Oscar Martin Carter, purchased 1,765 acres in
northwest Houston to develop a community where successful entrepreneurs and working people
could live and work as neighbors.
Today, the Heights area continues its revitalization, while at the same time keeping the historical
Victorian charm and small-town atmosphere that Mr. Carter envisioned. There is a strong sense
of community in the Heights, and InvesTex Credit Union is proud to be part of its rich history.
